VARSITY
Varsity won its third straight game and earned its third straight shutout Wednesday while beating Cyprus 4-0 at home. The first half was slow, with the Cavemen having the majority of the chances and keeping the Pirates at bay with just a couple of set-piece chances. Nick Sharp scored the opener in the 16th minute, and AF took that lead into halftime.
The second half was all Cavemen, with Jayden Brown's first goal of the season doubling the lead on a set piece. In the 71st minute, Lewis Knecht received a pass from Preston Osborne and slotted it past the keeper, and Ben Hess finished Alfredo Arias' cross to complete the scoring in the 78th minute.
The Cavemen are now 4-1 on the season, with 16 goals scored and only 2 conceded.

JV set the tone early and never looked back, smacking Cyprus 5-1 behind goals from Alfredo Arias, Nathan Sanchez (2), Kayden Peay, and Jordan Worthington. The Cavemen also had several chances that didn't result in goals, including an offside goal called off, a missed penalty, and three saves off the post of the goal.
