Casey Waldron

Head Coach


Coach Waldron is in his 9th season as Head Coach at American Fork. Coach Waldron grew up in Southern California and prepped at Arlington High School. After high school, Coach Waldron attended BYU where he played on the BYU Men's Soccer team as a midfielder and a defender. Coach Waldron played at BYU for six years, during which he won three club National Championships. As a part of the BYU Men's Soccer program, Coach Waldron traveled to compete against Pachuca and Cruz Azul in Mexico, FC Barcelona B, Rayo Vallecano, and Vallecas CF in Spain, and Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands. Coach Waldron is currently a member of the BYU Men's Soccer staff.


Coach Waldron is the oldest 12 children and has been married to his wife Tammy for 23 years. They have six children: Maxwell (19), Mia & Eva (17), Kylynne (14), Graham (11), and Beckham (8).


Coach Waldron is in the medical software industry as a regional sales rep for PCIS Gold, a division of DHI Computing.


Josh Winn

assistant coach, JV Head Coach


Coach Winn is in his second season as the head coach for the JV squad. Born in Provo, he played for Rangers and for Cougars' State Cup winning teams, ODP, and a nationally ranked Timpview HS Team.


After high school, he coached Timpview HS boys and girls teams for three years, winning Region each year, before serving an LDS Mission in Montana. After returning, he played soccer at SUU where he was also the women's head coach. He currently coaches at La Roca.


Coach Winn has been married to his wife Teresa for 20 years. They have four children and one black doodle. Coach Winn is a die hard supporter of Manchester United, loves sport shooting and camping, and taking his club teams to tournaments nationwide.


Tyler Staten

Assistant Coach, marketing and sponsors


Coach Staten is in his 5th season as a coach on the staff and also graduated from American Fork High School. He played varsity all four seasons at AFHS and led the team in goals and assists his junior and senior seasons. Coach Staten initially committed to BYU-Hawaii, but BYU-H athletics was discontinued during his mission, so he opted to attend UVU and focus on academics. 


Coach Staten is a soccer junkie and spends most of his weekend watching soccer. His favorite teams are Bayern Munich and the German National Team.


Coach Staten has been married to his wife Haley for six years and they have one son. He is the oldest of three children. Coach Staten attended UVU and graduated with a degree in Digital Marketing. He runs a photography business on the side of his job at Kneader's in Digital Marketing. Coach Staten is also responsible for all marketing, sponsorships, and apparel.


Nate Stoven

Assistant Coach, Goalkeepers


Coach Stoven is in his 9th season as the goalkeeper coach at American Fork. Coach Stoven grew up in Sandy, Utah and prepped at Brighton High School, where he won two high school state championships. He played his club soccer for Inter FC, where he also won several club state championships. After graduating high school, Coach Stoven attended BYU and played on the Men’s Soccer Team as a goalkeeper during the program’s semi-pro days in the PDL. 


Coach Stoven has been married to his wife Chanel for eight years and lives in American Fork. They welcomed their first son in January 2023. Coach Stoven works for Woodside Homes, where he is an Area Construction Manager. Coach Stoven served an LDS Mission in the West Virginia Charleston Mission.


Over the years, many boys have discovered Coach Stoven’s acting career, as he appeared on Studio C’s original episode of “Scott Sterling.”
